Klipper — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
1. Scope
Klipper is a private, single-operator tool. It is not offered to the public and does not create accounts for third parties. This policy explains what data it handles when the operator connects their own TikTok accounts.
2. Data we handle
- TikTok authorisation tokens — issued by TikTok when the operator authorises the app. They are stored locally on the operator's own server (file permissions 600) and are used only to upload the operator's own videos to the operator's own TikTok inbox.
- Basic account information — the TikTok open ID and display name returned by the API, used to show which account is connected.
- Video files — the clips the operator chooses to upload. They are sent to TikTok only when the operator triggers an upload.
3. What we do NOT do
- No selling, renting or sharing of data with third parties.
- No advertising or analytics trackers.
- No collection of data from other TikTok users.
- No access to private messages or content the operator does not own.
4. Storage and retention
Tokens and clip files stay on the operator's own infrastructure. Tokens can be revoked at any time from TikTok's settings ("Manage app permissions"), which immediately stops the app's access. Locally stored tokens can be deleted at any time.
5. Third parties
The only third party involved is TikTok itself, which receives the video and caption data the operator chooses to upload, under TikTok's own Privacy Policy.
